Chris Naughton

I grew up in D.C. and was raised on and inspired by the works of the Folger Shakespeare library, D.C. Shakespeare, and Wooly Mammoth Theater.

As an actor, director, and playwright my abiding love is  ensemble-driven, collaborative theater.

 

My goal is to make theater happen, and if that means wearing the hats of producer, scenic designer, or costumer than that's what I'm going to do.

 

As an educator, I guide students to discover their authentic voices, fostering artists who can perform, create, and collaborate effectively while supporting diverse storytelling.

 

I hold a BS from Skidmore College and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design, and have taught and mentored students across levels, from workshops to graduate courses.
